Angelique Power, Senior Program Officer for the Joyce Foundation
In this informal discussion come meet and chat with Angelique Power, Senior Program Officer for the Joyce Foundation. Angelique guides Joyce's Culture Program, which distributes $2 million annually. She focuses on strengthening and diversifying arts organizations, building capacity within the arts sector, and investing in the creative capital of artists of color through the Joyce Awards.
Ms. Power came to Joyce with more than 15 years' experience in communications and outreach, most recently serving as director of communications and community engagement at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. She also developed philanthropic marketing efforts as a senior manager in community relations at Target Corporation.
Based in Chicago, the Joyce Foundation supports the development of policies that both improve the quality of life for people in the Great Lakes region and serve as models for the rest of the country. The Foundation's grant making supports research into Great Lakes protection, energy efficiency, teacher quality and early reading, workforce development, gun violence prevention, diverse art for diverse audiences, and a strong, thriving democracy.
