Join Alvaro Bellolio and Kerri Malone for a discussion about their summer 2015 fellowships with the Smithsonian Institution, organized by the Cultural Policy Center.
Bellolio will present on his evaluation of the Cultural Heritage Policy Program for the Smithsonian’s Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage. His evaluation examines the program’s context, history, and present state, and proposes guidelines for improvement.
Malone will present on her research for the Smithsonian’s Provenance Research Initiative. Her work examines the complexities and evolving usages of the term “restitution” in the wake of unlawful appropriations of artworks and other objects during World War II.
